Rustler Upgrade #5 : Rpm Gearbox Cover

This upgrade I just bought because it looks kind of cool. It does look cool but there isn't a very good us for it. So if you have a little extra money then sure its a good thing to buy. If you haven't broken the stock Traxxas on its really just for the looks. I just got mine from the local hobby shop but they sell them on Amazon for 6.75. In green or blue what ever color you prefer.

Why Doesn't Traxxas Fix The Titan 12t?

I don't know why Traxxas doesn't fix or at least come up with a new motor for there basic cars. The first day I got my Rustler xl-5, I ran it for two days and then it was running at half speed. Then like a week later the motor would not even turn. My friend, my dad, and my brother all had to replace the Titan at least once. I got so mad at the motor breaking I just bought the Velineon System. They obviously know that there is a problem with the motor breaking, because they send me emails about how to break it in all the time. When I call Traxxas support line to complain they just send me out another motor to replace it. I know how to break it in so I know that it isn't just me breaking them. Or is it i don't know but they should just build a motor that will last long and has decent power. Is that so hard to make? Tell me what you think about the Titan 12t in the comments below.

PS: Sorry the lack of post in the last few days, I had a lot of school work.

Rustler Upgrade #4 : Rpm Rear A-Arms

This is a pretty cool upgrade for any model. When i had the stock black Traxxas ones they would bent and snap very easily. With these new Green Rpm ones, Ive hit a parking block going like 30 miles an hour and it didn't leave a mark. You can buy them off of Amazon 7.86. They work well, and they look slim and cool.

Rustler Upgrade #3 : Aluminum Shock Caps

My 4th upgrade for my Rustler are the aluminum shock caps by Traxxas. I needed these because the old plastic ones would pop off every 3 jumps I went on. They look cool and they have never came  off once so far. If you want a more in depth review go here. They were 11.18 off of Amazon and 14.00 off Traxxas.com.They are a must need for all Traxxas Cars/Trucks.

YouTube Spotlight : DarkEclipticHeart

This is a great video, it is a mini movie about a Traxxas Bandit named Nhexus. The Bandit sees a Rustler with a cool custom body and a Velineon System. The Rustler makes fun of the Bandit because it has a Brushed Motor and not as cool body. The Bandit has an interesting dream about the future. Good luck Nhexus! : ) Link To His Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/darkeclipticheart

Rustler Upgrade #2 : Steel Drive Yokes

This is the second upgrade for my Rustler. This upgrade cost me 14.00 for a pair. When I upgraded to the Velineon System, I broke my plastic ones in the first 30 minutes of driving. There a pretty nice upgrade, the color is a nice gunmetal. The yoke is held onto the shaft by two grub screws. You can buy them here on Traxxas.com or on Amazon.com.

Rustler Upgrade #1 : Velineon System

Velineon Motor
This is the first upgrade I had ever done to my Rustler. It is one of the best motors I have ever used. The Esc is great it hasn't over heated yet, so that's good. It looks pretty nice with the black cap and transmission box. I can get to about 40 mph on a stock NiMh 7c battery pack. I got the Motor and Esc combo for about 160$ on Amazon : ( Click Me )

The video today is by daylindavid. This is a very good tutorial on how to lower your RC's stance. I tried it on my rustler and it worked perfectly. Now its a beast on the track. You do need a few materials to make it work but there cheap and easy to find. I myself would have never thought of this trick. You should go check out his channel he has some great review and upgrade videos. Channel: ( Click Me )
If you have a second say Roomba sent you!

Review: Onyx 200 Charger

The Onyx 200 (made by DuraTrax) is a great charger for beginners. It is a AC/DC Sport Peak Charger, for 4-7 cell NiCd and NiMH Batteries. It has adjustable charge current, You can change it from 1.5amps, 3amps, and 5amps. It comes stock with a Timiya connector, but you can buy any connector to replace that with. Its has alligator clips so you can connect it to an battery or a power supply. (It has a normal wall plug to) The charger needs 12.0 volts to function so you will need at least a 12.0 volt batteries. To charge a 3000 mah 8.4 volt battery, it takes about 30-45 minutes. Which is a big upgrade from the stock 8 hour Traxxas charger. I bought this charger for 45.00 USD at my local hobby shop. I would give this charger an 7/10. Overall this is a pretty good charger for the price. Great for beginners and very simple. You can buy it right here : Amazon ( Click Me )

Review: Traxxas Anaconda Street Tires

Anaconda On My Rustler.
These tires have been great for my Rustler. I get so much traction on the street and sidewalk its unbelievable. Compared to the stock tires, I like these way more. They don't get very much traction on grass (longer the grass the worse) but a very good amount on dirt. There not the best for the track because you slide around a bit. None the less they are great tires for the price. They are available in chrome, black chrome, and without the rims. The part number is #3773. You can purchase them for 22.99 a pair. I would give them a 9/10 for the street, 3/10 for the grass, and 6/10 for dirt. I can post a run video (if i have time) with these tires on my car in the different terrains. Thanks for reading.

Light Affects Kit

Soon i will have light kits for sale that will fit any Traxxas brand RC car. You will be able to get them in blue, red, green, and white. They will be selling on amazon for around 20.00$ USD each.

Review: Traxxas Aluminum Shock Caps

To start this off I love these shock caps they were one of the first upgrades I did on my Rustler. These are essential if your going to be bashing your RC, or even doing jumps. When I had the stock plastic ones, I had to replace the oil and fix them about 20 times. Ive had these for about 2 months now and I haven't had to replace them once! They look great you can get them in blue, red, green, silver, and dark gray. The Part number is #3767. They will cost around 14.99. They will work on the Traxxas Big Bore Shocks, or the Traxxas Ultra Shocks. I give these shock caps a 9/10, because if you have a bandit or any other car the has the shock caps on the outside of the body the paint will scratch off of the shock caps and expose the silver. I will be doing a walk through on how to install these later.

Busy

Sorry i haven't made any posts lately but there is a lot coming on the way. I have a few upgrade videos and a review coming up.
